Clare Reddaway’s Story Walks; Stars, Stalin and a couple of Fine Elephants

April 13 at 11:00 am 12:30 pm

Clare Reddaway’s story walks have proved to be a popular new way of exploring Clifton, mixing facts and history with freshly written fictions.  This weekend Clare is leading all of her story walks again – perfect if you missed one first time round!

This first of three walks is Stars, Stalin and a Couple of Fine Elephants and was originally created for Clifton LitFest 2021. On this walk we encounter an overworked waitress and a Golden Age Hollywood star, we get a whiff of the USSR and we savour a view of Clifton Suspension Bridge. The walk starts at Clifton Library and loops around the Mall Gardens to Clifton Suspension Bridge. The walk takes just under 1 1/2 hours, and is mainly on smooth level ground.

The walk starts at 11am outside Clifton Library. The cost is £10 and can be booked using the link below
