Do you have anecdotes of ‘Life in Clifton’? Will our group do something with these stories? Or will our sessions mirror Radio 4’s The Listening Project? Will we run an Oral History Project as championed by The British Library? Or will we decide upon a guided informal chat? Initial meeting lead by a keen FoCCal member and resident of 64 years who went to school where the library is now.
This is a free event.
Join a free shared reading group at Clifton Library on Thursdays between 2 pm and 3.30 pm where a facilitator trained by The Reader Organisation will read aloud great stories and poems. You can relax and listen, or join in the conversation about what we have read, and all reading material is provided, as are tea and biscuits!

Come along and sing-along. Listen to fun stories with your child. No need to book. Tickets can be bought at the door.
With a dry wit and acute cynicism, part cabaret chanteuse, part torch-bearing diva Sarah Ménage shares words and music on the themes of global and personal devastation, with help from Si Fish on buckets and tins and a possible surprise guest or two. An evening of entertainment and miserablism, which includes the public flogging of Ménage’s new novel ‘How To Make Life Nice’.
Please note that the exact line-up for the evening will not be as advertised in the flier.
